FittMeter does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes — period.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the FittMeter platform and mobile application
  • Process gym membership fees, store orders, and platform payouts
  • Send transactional notifications (check-in confirmations, payment receipts, order updates)
  • Enable gym owners and trainers to manage their members and schedules
  • Generate anonymised platform-wide analytics to improve service quality
  • Comply with legal obligations including GST filings and the DPDP Act, 2023
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access to the platform

Data Sharing & Third Parties

FittMeter does not sell your personal data to third parties. We share your data only in the following circumstances:

  • Razorpay (payment processing) — receives billing information to process payments
  • Shiprocket (logistics) — receives shipping address for store order deliveries
  • Expo / Firebase (push notifications) — receives device tokens to deliver alerts
  • Cloudinary (media storage) — stores profile photos and gym images
  • Your Gym Owner / Trainer — receives your attendance, membership, and contact details to manage your fitness journey
  • Law enforcement or regulatory authorities — when required by law or court order

All third-party partners are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it for the specific purpose for which it was shared.

Data Storage & Security

FittMeter stores all user data on secured servers hosted on Railway.app and Supabase (PostgreSQL). We implement the following security measures:

  • TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit
  • AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
  • Role-based access controls (RBAC) so only authorised roles can access relevant data
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens
  • OTP-verified email and phone for registration and account changes

Your Rights & Data Control

Under the DPDP Act, 2023 (India) and applicable privacy regulations, you have the following rights:

  • Right of Access — Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Right of Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data
  • Right of Erasure — Request deletion of your account and associated data (processed within 7 business days)
  • Right to Withdraw Consent — Opt out of non-essential communications at any time
  • Right to Grievance Redressal — Lodge a complaint with our Data Protection Officer

Cookies & Analytics

FittMeter uses minimal, privacy-respecting cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Session management and authentication tokens
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics (anonymised) for web traffic insights — you may opt out via browser settings
  • No advertising or tracking cookies are used

We do not use cross-site tracking or retargeting ad networks.

Children's Privacy

FittMeter is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users between 13–18 must have parental consent to use the platform. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@fittmeter.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

FittMeter may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal obligations, or new features. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification and/or email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes are effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
